The Benefits Of Electrolysis Hair Removal

electrolysis

Over the years, a number of different methods have been used to get rid of unwanted hair. Of all these methods, one of the most effective is electrolysis hair removal. In simple terms, this form of hair removal is a process by which an electrical current is used to kill hair by targeting the hair follicles. The device used to take the current into the hair follicles are very fine needle-shaped electrodes or tiny metal probes.

It has to be pointed out that this form of hair removal can only be used for growing hair. This is because the process works by starving the hair of nutrients. As a result, the hair simply dies off. If you want to benefit from the process of electrolysis, you need to know exactly what is involved in the process.

For a start, electrolysis hair removal is not a quick fix procedure. You need to understand that from the very outset. First, only a qualified electrologist should be consulted to carry out electrolysis. This is because (continue reading…)

Using Electrolysis To Isolate Elements

by admin on Apr.22, 2011, under Hair Removal

electrolysis

In Greek the term electrolysis means to separate. It is a process that uses a string current to drive chemical reactions. Without this stimulation, these reactions would otherwise not take place. The result is the separation of distinct elements contained in natural mixtures, like ore.

Three components are needed for this process. These include direct current, an electrolyte, and two electrodes. Mobile ions are contained within the electrolyte, and these ions carry electrical current energy. The supplied current must be strong enough to stimulate the ions in the electrolyte. The electrodes act as conductors and an interface between the electrolyte and the current. Electrodes are composed of materials with semiconducting properties, metal and graphite. All of these parts are essential for this process to be successful.

Energy is emitted across electrodes within a electrolyte. As a consequence, oppositely charged ions move to each electrode. As ions (continue reading…)

electrolysis

Benefits for having electrolysis are numerous especially when permanently removing unwanted hair but it is imperative that you remember a few things when this procedure is done. So when you have decided you want to have electrolysis done, take note to take care of yourself after the procedure with special treatments after electrolysis. There are specific treatments that need to be done in order to minimize the damage on the skin that is caused by electrolysis.

Soothing skin topical rubs are some things that need to be used as treatments after electrolysis as they contain ingredients like oatmeal or Aloe Vera, soothing skin masks, calamine lotion and topical cosmetic creams. Ensure that you avoid anything with harsh, perfumed, or irritating ingredients because your skin will already be bantered. Another treatment you can do for the skin is to soak it in warm water then use soft soaps when washing, and no shaving (continue reading…)

Basic Guide To Electrolysis

electrolysis

Recently we have been exploring different methods of hair removal and the pros and cons associated with each method. We have investigated waxing, depilatory creams, shaving, epilators, laser, IPL and threading over the past few weeks, and in our last article in the series will be looking at electrolysis.

Electrolysis hair removal

Electrolysis offers a solution to removing individual hairs from the body. It works by destroying the growth centre of the hair. A fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle and a small current is applied by a skilled therapist which destroys the lower part of the follicle. The hair is then removed and hair growth is hindered or stopped completely in that follicle. It is important to go to a therapist who has been checked by the British Institute & Association of Electrolysis.

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal method and, in the long term, it may be more (continue reading…)
